Fall from grace

Where: 477 Collins St, city.

Trading hours: Monday to Saturday till late.

Located inside the State of Grace, Fall from Grace is a glamorous cocktail bar you have to try. As it’s well-hidden you have to find its secret entrance. Head to the bookcase near the bathroom and find the book which would open the door to the stairs leading to the bar. The specialty of the bar that we would suggest is its old fashioned cocktail. If you want to visit it at its peak, head there on a Friday night and enjoy its mad vibes.

Hihou

Where: Level 1, 1 Flinders Lane, CBD.

Trading hours: Monday to Wednesday 5 pm to midnight. Thursday to Saturday 5 pm to 1 am.

All the previous bars had a secret entrance. This bar has a regular door. However, you have to know which door it is as there are no signs at all and you have to ring the doorbell to enter. Hihou is a Japanese word meaning hidden treasure, and they have indeed hidden the bar well. The bar has a low lighting Japanese style and its menu includes all the classic list of cocktails as well as the Japanese specialties. Aren’t you curious to find the door?

Berlin Bar

Where: 16 Corrs Lane 3000 Melbourne.

Trading hours:

             Monday to Wednesday 17:00 – 00:00

             Thursday 17:00 – 01:00

             Friday 16:00 – 02:00

             Saturday 17:00 – 02:00

             Sunday 18:00 – 00:00

Another ‘ring the bell’ kind of bar. However, instead of a Japanese décor, this one has a Berlin style. The bar is divided into two parts with an iron wall, creating the east and west Berlin of the past. Capitalist Bloc or Communist Bloc? Opulence or misery? The bar has a cozy and a very interesting diverse atmosphere. Enjoy well-made cocktails or a cold German beer. You have to know though before going, that you have to ring the bell and that the bar is located on the second floor.
